Garland Party

Well the Nester is at it again and this time I decided to join in the fun. This is the mantel in the family room. I tried to get a picture with the lights but my camera would not cooperate with me. Anyways, in this room we do colored lights. I know to some of you this sounds like a law has been broken but it makes hubby and the kids so very happy to have one tree with colored lights on it and that tree is in this room so the mantel gets them too.
What's that in the corner of the garland? Well I'll be it's a ragamuffin made just for the occasion. A#2 and I had so much fun trying to come up with something and there they are. I think it turned out adorable and even hubby was pleased. Yep, we even made one for the wreath you see there in the floor.

Up close. Attached to the garland is raffia and the same fabric that in the ragamuffin.

And then there are the pip berry's. Lots of them in red, white and blue of course. I love it!! Click on the mantel picture to get an even better look.

I'm a colored lights kind of girl myself. It just wouldn't be Christmas without them.

Your garland is wonderful! It doesn't matter what color lights you use because in "my opinion" ALL lights are beautiful! And the more lights the merrier! LOL!

The raggamuffin fabric makes it even more adorable!
