Here we go!

Wait a minute, I think that is a smile starting to appear. Could it be? A#1 has had his awards ceremony and his bacalaurette (spelling?) and in just a few days, the graduation. How can this be? I just can not get it thru my head that this is actually happening. I know, I know, I've seen him in the cap and gown twice already and it is just not registering. Allow me to brag for a minute please. At his awards ceremony, our son, A#1 received $53,000.00 in scholarships. Not 53 hundred, 53 thousand!!!!!!! Thanks you JESUS!!!!!! That's all I could think about. Thank you Jesus for blessing this young man the way only You could.
His sisters are so proud!

A#1 and two of his good buddies, showing off their awards.

I love you buddy and I could not be more proud!!!!!!!!!

Why I haven't blogged

Friday- field trip with preschool. Took my older kids with us because A#1 is finshed with school and A#2 didn't have anything important to do. Found out our best friends in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD are coming from Texas for A#1's graduation. Couldn't accomplish anything productive after that.
Saturday- Worked at home ALL day until hubby decided he needs some shorts and wanted us all to go with him to Old Navy. Turned into a VERY expensive day and I couldn't accomplish anything after that.
Sunday- Sunday school @ 9:45, church @ 11 am, A#1's Baccalaurete @ 2 pm, A#3's end of year preschool program @ 6pm along with church. Home by 8:30, girls in bed. Dusted the dining room, went in the attic with A#1 to retrieve some pillows, checked email from days ago.
Monday- don't even ask! Hubby is working and company's coming.
I've got some really good pictures to show when I can get a minute.
Keep us in your prayers. Emotions are running very strongly around here as we prepare for graduation next Sunday.

Thnigs keeping me busy

These are one of the projects I have worked on lately. This was a gift for A#2's teacher who is expecting her little girl in June. If you have been to Target and seen the Tidliwinks nursery set, this goes along with it. I painted the letters a minty green and used the pink and white gingham and red paper to match the bedding. If you look closer you can see the lady bugs on the letters. Ava Rae will be the babies name. I thought they turned out cute as can be and Mrs. Teacher (I won't use her real name) loved them. IF you know of anyone that is expecting, these make a great addition to the nursery.

Good grief!!!!

Is it ever gonna slow down around here? Not even able to blog about anything except for how busy we are. Does that give you any idea about the state of things around here? Keep us in your prayers.

A Breakdown

This picture was taken last September in Tennessee at the aqaurium. Look at his face. He LOVES stuff like this. Did you catch the title of this post? Yep, I'm having my first breakdown over this kid graduating (ok so it's not my very first but it's the worst). Yesterday he picked up his announcements and I started working on them last night. Then today I'm in Walmart and I bought some class of 2008 plates and napkins for his cookout and when I got back to my vehicle I had a complete melt down in the parking lot of Wally World! Good grief. I AM NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!! Do you hear me? I'm just not. He has some growing up to do and I can't stand the thought of him leaving home before that has happened. What do I do? Cancel college perhaps? Take away his keys? Tie him to a door in our house so he can only think about leaving? I know I can't actually do these things because I'm sure I could get in big trouble for them all but a girl can dream can't she? Pray people, please pray.

This picture has nothing to do with this post, I just love it! Those brown eyes just kill me. A#3 has been cracking me up lately, as usual. We have been outside alot due to the beautiful weather we have had and she is in heaven being able to run and scream. So much so that last week on our hottest day, we were out on the deck and she was riding her scooter, SCREAMING to the top of her lungs having a blast as I was washing down the furniture and setting it up for the summer. Finally I had had my fill of the screaming and I said, "A#3 (actually I said her name but for you guys it's A#3), please stop." Her reply, "WHAT? I am using my outside voice!" To which I had no reply. What could I say? She was right, I was wrong. Oh that girl.
We have been very busy as I posted last week and this are not going to slow down any time soon. It's only going to get worse. A#1 will be picking up his graduation announcements today so that will be our project this week along with the mother/daughter banquet I have to help with this week I am looking for some ideas as we speak for table cloths and decor. Something simple and springy.
I pray that you all are having a blessed May and things will soon be a little calmer around here.

Cousins make the best friends

A#3 and her cousin F.W. love being together. He was able to join us at church one saturday for our grand prix derby and they had a blast. If these 2 aren't fighting then this is how you will see them. Arm in arm having a good time. There is only 4 months between them in age and they are very opposite but they don't know that. They laugh when they're together and I'm sure they have cried when they've been together. You can see they genuine joy they have when they are around one another when you look at them in this picture. Aunt Ninie loves you F.W. and so does your buddy A#3.

Ahhh, spring

Playing at the park with friends is so much fun. A#3 had a blast with her friend when we went to story time at the library and then walked to the park. Can there be a better day?
Here she is helping her buddy C-man with his shoe. Those darn shoes were a little troublesome when he was trying to climb and run. His mommy felt so bad.A#3 is all smiles, that is until it's time to leave.

A long lasting friendship. These 2 have known each other since they were born. They go to church and preschool together and have developed a long lasting friendship. It's so much fun to watch.

Playing catch up

These are the lovely roses that hubby sent me for our anniversary. Aren't they gorgeous? 19 roses for 19 years. I've been meaning to share them but haven't had the time. Hope they brighten your day as they did mine.
