Let me just share with you another reason I like this blogging thing. New recipes are the best. But even better are the easy one's. So this was dinner Thursday evening at the Blaine's ( thanks to the Pioneer Woman for the chicken recipe). You can check her out at http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/and you can link from there to get her recipes. Try this one! You must.
So then we had some veggies. The Blaine family love them some tomatos and cukes in vinegar and water w/ salt & pepper. It's a race to see who can eat the most cukes. I like em but save the t-toes for me. One of my fondest memories as a child is our gardens we had and sitting down right in the dirt, wiping the t-toe off on my pants and chowing down. YUUMMMMMOOOOO!
Then there's the brocolicious for A#2. Mercy that girl can put it away. Butter and lemon pepper is our choice of flavoring. Fresh off the stove, you can even see the steam.(oops lost the picture, sorry)

Ahhhh, yeast rolls. Of course they're NOT homemade but hey. We can sure put these away. Kinda looks like my thighs. White and lumpy. Nice vision, Sorry!
So, what are you having for dinner?

This year after we left from Dad's, we took a drive around town to look at Christmas lights. The kids always enjoy this. Well except for the oldest I guess because he was snoring as we were looking around. I had litterally hollered at him to wake up and ENJOY THIS! :)

So when we finally make our way home, it's time to open our new pj's, get Santa's snack ready and read Small One together. If you haven't ever read this story, you really need to check it out. After lots of convincing, it's time for everyone to go to bed and wait for the arrival (hopefully) of lots of goodies from the big man in the red suit. Goodnight :)

So this silly fella is another one of our family heros.

Ahhhh, the Preacher cookies. I don't know why they are called that but he must've been a good preacher. I sear my son could eat a batch of these a day. He has asked for them on a daily basis before.
