A#2 + 7

This was the scene at our house last weekend, a pool full of girls, lots of i-pods, cell phones, loud music, birthday cake and plenty of snacks.

A#2 turned 11 and wanted nothing but to have a sleep over with a house full of girls and that's just what she got.

They arrived around 5 that evening and hit the pool around 6. They were in the pool until 7:30 then jumped out to have pizza then jumped right back in. Got out around 8:30 for cake and presents then right back in. Got out around 10 for a fire and s'mores then right back in. Finally around midnight we insisted they start getting out. :(

I have no idea what time they finally went to sleep, if at all. The last time they were in the kitchen heating up pizza was 2:30 a.m and then they reappeared downstairs around 7 a.m. and from there broke out the doughnuts. Isn't that the best part of a slumber party, the junk food?

It was a good time had by all and we are still trying to make up for the lost sleep. 11 year olds are a lot of fun and have way too much energy :)

3 A's and their momma

Mother's Day sure can make you sit back and reflect on several things. It can make you reflect back on your own mom and just what she means to you, especially the older you get. It can make you reflect back on the first time you got to celebrate this special day and what that first baby means to you.
This is my first baby, I like to call him A#1. I love him, he's my soul.

Then there's this beauty. I like to call her A#2. I love her, she's my soul.

And then there's my baby. I like to call her A#3. I love her, she's my soul.

Mother's day is a very special day and they are the reason why.

Didn't do so well once again of tracking my wardrobe for the week. I have the best of intentions every week and then I get busy or I think to myself is the world really gonna stop if I don't do it? Of course I know the answer to that and believe me, my world is in such an uproar lately the last thing I should be concerned with is what I wear. But, I started this to keep myself accountable on several levels so even if it's only one day that I remember then that's what I'll do.
